Horrendous photo after an epic day nutschallenge 👹 Ran #nutslimitless and was aiming for 5laps. Was in the final lake and probably 100m from the finish line on lap 4 when the 5 second countdown to the 6 hour cut off started. Had a wash before finishing and crossed the line in about 6 hours 3 mins. I was a little disappointed but proud to have improved on last year and got so close. I gave it everything. There are many places where I lost seconds or minutes out on course...queues, falling over, falling off obstacles, being landed on, coming to a halt 2/3 of the way down the slide 😅....but ultimately my #running speed is what cost me. More motivation to continue to increase my pace and smash it next year 👊

Don’t stop ‘til you reach the top.

One thing I’ve realised whilst obstacle racing is the feeling when you are confronted by a challenging obstacle and your mind says “don’t do it, you may fall, it will hurt...”. Finding the mental strength to do it can be tough but it’s worth the mind battle for the sense of achievement when you DO complete it! Always trying to push myself a little bit harder and further to strengthen the body and the mind 🙏

I thought seen as the gyms are about to reopen that I should start putting the work in!  CRAZY RIGHT?  Well some people DO think like that - “oh I’m not going to the gym till I get fitter” OR “oh I’m so not at the level of everyone else in the gym.” STOP ✋🏼 Make that move, whether it’s to join a gym, get a PT, join a group class or just hit up someone in the fitness industry to ask for their advice.  Any trainer worth their salt & passionate about coaching should get back to you.  Try it.......any fitness questions.....throw them my way.
